The Meaning: Photography, Cinematography & Videography

In today's fast moving lifestyle, many do not know how to differentiate the meaning between these three things:-
1) Photography
2) Cinematography
3) Videography

In wedding, photography refers to photo of activities related to weddings. These are photographs only, meaning "pictures of still images" whereas video relates to video production and in wedding, it documents a wedding activities "in-motion" where you will hear laughter, happiness and other motion related activities.

But when it comes to wedding cinematography, this term is defined as making a cinematic style of movie (usually its a segment of the entire wedding within a few minutes, usually 1 song length). It is captured and edited with mood and emotion effect, sometimes added with sound to create the mood by just watching a short film montage of the entire wedding.

So folks, please bear in mind, cinematography is not video and photography. Cinematography is video whereas photography is photo. Videography is an old term for a staff who handles video but does not capture cinematic effect. Usually the videographer will stand still or does not even need to be at the video cam (heavy video camera) as it is placed on a tripod for couple hours.
